[Example] Geometric origami workshop

One sheet of paper, no scissors, no glue — and suddenly angles, symmetries and fractions appear under your fingers. In this workshop, children aged 7 to 12 and their families fold modular polyhedra step by step, from a simple cube to a shimmering icosahedron, and discover the geometry hidden in every crease.

Each session is led by two facilitators and follows a clear progression: warm-up folds, a guided construction, then a free exploration phase where participants invent their own modules. Everyone leaves with their creations and a booklet of folding patterns to continue at home.

Sessions take place on Wednesday afternoons at the Maison des Mathématiques in Geneva. Registration is required as places are limited to sixteen participants.
